"Pilots Helping Pilots". What more can you say?

The recent downturn in the industry is saddening and shocking to many of us. The Pro Pilot World staff and membership is one of the only groups taking proactive measures to help out-of-work pilots find new jobs. Nobody on this website sees personal gain from it, either.

This is not another aviation "old ladies' sewing and gossip" club, like so many other pilot message boards out there. With an interesting mix of aviators from all segments of the industry, we might not see eye-to-eye on everything. There is one thing we all agree on, however: Pilots Helping Pilots.

I guess we're just lucky to all land here. I like your last statement--but the Pro in PPW actually means alot to many here, and perhaps unlike other threads, one maintains a sense of professionalism whether in the cockpit or here on the board.

I think that is because of the state of the industry right now...

Check back when the cycle comes back around.

Ditto what Huff said...it wasn't that long ago that folks were talking about getting jobs at Atlas/Polar/FedEx//UPS....

I once helped an old airline pilot cross a busy street to find his Beemer. Didn't even thank me. Just asked me where my ALPA pin was.

If I have not said it before....I'm happy to be a member here. Great group of people and always willing to help each other out. Thanks everyone.

And....I never "formally" introduced myself back in April when I joined. I know there is a seperate thread for this but, what's up everyone? I'm Phil. Happy to be a part of PPW.
