As a long time member, I can not overemphasize the benefits of being a part of this community.
Pilots Helping Pilots was the founding principle of this site, and it still rings true almost 20 years later.
When I joined, I had a great job at the time. As time went on, I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience level…. The contacts I made here through networking - posting here, as well as meetups on the road, led directly to a Falcon 2000EASy job, then a 900EASy job, and now a Global Express job.
All these positions came because, 1) I’m not an asshole, and 2) I have folks I’ve met on here that are willing to vouch for me.
But, it’s more than just networking to find a job. The knowledge base here is amazing. Members from all over the world ask questions, and get answers. Everything from random airport ops, to hotels, restaurants, bbq, home built airplanes, cars… this is THE place for professional pilots to exchange information and expand their knowledge of various subjects.
So, join, read, interact, and enjoy the bond that PPW creates.
