    Pilots Helping Pilots

Just a quick story about one of the many benefits of being in the pilot community -

My elderly mother is scheduled for heart surgery very soon. The past week has been a stressful time for family and friends. Last night, I was talking to a long time pilot buddy and catching him up on the details of my mom's condition.
When I told him that she had suffered "congestive heart failure", he couldn't prevent the grin from creeping onto his face.
My pause and puzzled look allowed him to explain the out-of-place grin ... he enlightened me that I had said "convective heart failure"!
It was a sorely needed laugh that only a fellow pilot could accomplish.
Glad to be a part of this richly diverse group. Thanks.
